No Cake, Just Rock!!!!

And not the sort with Blackpool written through it. We played The Alsager Arms on Friday 23rd of October 2009, almost 4 years to the day from our first public outing on Tuesday 22nd of October 2005 - a six song slot slap in the middle of an open mic night hosted by our friends Colette and David, collectively known as The Murder City Sweethearts. We played covers exclusively that night, including Midnight Radio - which we last played at the actor Colin Firth's party following a successful feature film shoot - C'mon, C'mon, Pet Sematary and Swampsnake. The latter the only remaining song in our regular setlist but which strangely we didn't play on Friday.

A lot has happened in the last 4 years, we play mostly our own material, we've got this website (Thanks Pete) we have 3 album length CD's, Ted - our first drummer and friend - left and is now the proud father of Daisy, we've been to the USA as a band and played 11 gigs in 12 days, have played live in radio studios in the UK and USA, had an Amplifires dedicated show on Australian radio, have signed loads of autographs on poster and CD's, are selling our music on download through iTunes, have fans posting videos on YouTube, have been chart-toppers on ReverbNation, have worldwide Street Teams promoting us on and through MySpace (David's sterling grasp of the marketing opportunites through social networking) and more.

Here's to the next 4 years and beyond.

Steve
