FANTASY BRIDE - SINGLE RELEASE - AUGUST 22nd 2011

Drawn from SWALK, the second studio album recorded by The Amplifires, Fantasy Bride represents something of a departure from their usual style and features an interesting click track into the body of the song. Influenced by the experience of playing a couple of redneck bars during 'The Amplifires Scorch America' tour in 2009, Fantasy Bride incorporates a combination of country and PJ Harvey influences into classic Amplifires guitar driven rock coupled with an energetic vocal performance from Sharon Clancy. Steve Rawlinson, The Amplifires guitarist said "this was an interesting song for us to write, record and perform. Sharon and I have had the song for a while now and especially when played acoustically it can sound a little 'country', reminding us of a venue in Williamsburg, Ohio, where the audience were a little, errrmmm, strange'.

The song has evolved from it's country feel courtesy of solid bass and drums from David Brunt and Kim Chester respectively and ends as 'oddly' as it started - you'll have to download and listen to find out!
